Folks,
I was wondering which software you were using in order to design the BSO Lonely Ave artwork for the briansetzer.com contest.

Sometimes I do the artworks for my own recordings, live shows... but they are all done in Microsoft Word, which is OK, but I would like to design them in JPG, that's why I am asking you about the pogram(s) that could help me a little bit in doing this.

Best wishes & Thanks!
Jon

I didn't compete but Photoshop is the way to go for such things. You can get a student version for a much smaller price than the original. the student version is the same thing as the standard.

photoshop is the standard of the industry but there are others too, way cheaper, even free. Try Photopaint.

If you're at all technically inclined and don't need handholding to figure out how to use software, there's always the free, open-source and rather powerful GIMP:

http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/

They have a website at http://www.gimp.org/ but it's down as of this writing.
