Hi im andy (username : booty) from England and ive recently joined the forum. Ive got a lime gold gretsch hot rod with tv jones pickups and i use a deluxe memory man delay . I have recently bought a nocturne pedal off Tavo and it has TOTALLY improved the tone. Over the years I have done all the right things to improve the sound e.g got a thin top gretsch, got tv jones pickups, drilled alluminium saddles, delrin nut etc) Well obviously the tv jones filtertrons were a major improvement but the ...

Man it sounds really nice to me - what do you think?

Delay pedal question.

Hi,everyone.

I have some question about Brian's sound delay pedal.

I know,he is usually using RE-301.Of course,I have it.

But,I am usually using Fulltone Tube Tape Echo.

The noise of RE is more than that of TTE. Therefore I like TTE.

Q1. Which does everyone use?　What's reason?

Q2. When TTE is used,is tube exchanged?

That's all.

Thanks.

Just wondering what the main differences were between a Boss DM-2 and a DM-3? It seems that DM-3's don't quite come up for sale or auction as much as DM-2's and there seems to be quite a few DM-2 clones. BYOC now offers a DM-2 clone kit, so maybe there is a way to switch-er-oo some parts and get a DM-3?

I don't even want to touch on DMM's, I have a DL4 that's pretty handy right now and I mostly use the DMM setting on that. the tube echo setting makes everything too bright and crunchy.

It is a few years old, has been stored in a box in my cupboard and never used for the entire time.. Comes with all the leads and manual.. How much should I price it at?

the Nocturne pedal. Thought I'd share as its cool to see faces with the pedal.

would love to see all you guys with your guitar and nocturne.

I am building a website and want a section for something like this.

..still waiting on a certain few Nashville rockabilly heroes to send me a picture.. you know who you are

Hey gang,

For my 40th, my wife and kids got me Setzer Tribute guitar.....only a different to ones you normally see!!

It's about 30cm long and is made of sugar!! She had a cake artist make one up since we can't afford the real deal!! Pony even supplied his guitar so they could get the right dimensions, since I would of been curios about why my guitar went missing!

But as you can see, I chose my own cake!! What can I say? I LURVE BOOBIES!!

Cheers Pete

Last night I started experiencing a weird hesitation from the black pinch roller located at the top of the unit threading the tape. It seems each time the tapes spliced area hits the bottom silver cylinder (that also threads the tape) the rubber cylinder hesitates or slows down until it finally passes. It doesn't seem to be the motor since it works great up until spliced area comes back around. Could it be the tape is suddenly too tight or is this what they refer to a "pinched tape?" ...

What's to say? Funtastic. I used it only on our rockabilly songs and it was perfect. It tied directly to the guitar master volume. The slightest change made the biggest difference, but the range is everything you need, soft to loud. Nails THE sound, at least to my ears. Gots a couple comments about it from the crowd. It's the second one from the upper top left, about 5 feet from center, next to the Giggly Wiggly Power Booster thingamajig. It's called the AD-59 Setzer HoodooVoodoo Echo. What's great about it, is not only does it give you slapback, but it has a Blonde Bassman mod switch and RE-201 tape delay simulato""""

Hey Tavo,

Got a question... The Space Echo 301 has the same preamp/boosting effect like your pedal - right? So, the pedal is for guitar players who don't own a Space Echo 301 - right too? So my main point is - whats happening if you own both and have both running at the same time...?

I would love to afford (I'm in the need of an new amp and got kids to feed too ) your pedal, but I'm also thinking if I "need" it absolutely 'cause I use a Watkins Tape Echo which has a Gain ...

Tavo, I know you posted this on your Facebook page - I have been waiting for this movie ever since seeing the trailer online months ago, while I was still in Australia (man that feels like a lifetime ago!) I just got an email from Jack White's Third Man Records - It Might Get Loud is almost here!!

Quote:It Might Get Loud tells the personal stories, in their own words, of three generations of electric guitar virtuosos The Edge, Jimmy Page and Jack White. It reveals how each developed his ...

I'm a tasteless slob. I've been playing for 30 years an never put much thought into tone, just plug it in and go was my motto. But now I have a gen u ine Nocturne and I have seen the light.

My rig is a 5120 with TVJ classics ...

Got me a Nocturne in the mail today. First impressions- well built, simple design, looks good to boot.

now for the meat of it.

Test #1 = Gretsch Pro jet 5128T with TV Jones Classics --> Echo 1 Delay Pedal ----> little gretsh 5 watt class A combo that I cant remember the model of.

Since this is the 'rig' i use most. (i'm a bass player professionally, so my guitar playing is limited to writing and doing demos) I thougth it would be a good place to start. I removed ...
