my front car seat caught on "fire" when the sun reflected off my cheapo wink mirror

and burned a 6"x1" gash in my custom 2 tone seat covers. My poor 55yr old hotrod honey

has been mamed.

My kid was yelling "dad your seat's smoking" and I thought they were being funny.

Turns out the mirror is like a high intensity magnifying glass..

ever heard of such solar wizardry before? maybe I shouldnt have named the ol bird "jezebel"

want to find a detailer that will make my 3yr old car look like children were never in it and the white paint to glisten like when I drove it off the lot brand new. What will I be looking at spending on a Dodge magnum wagon? I figure it'll be at least $150.. I often see this kind of thing going down in a bank parking lot to an $80K mercedes often..

This past weekend near my hometown, was the Annual Frog Follies Street Rod Show ( a massive 3-day event in Evansville, Indiana). It's one of the biggest such events in the States and all proceeds go toward local charities and scholarships. The display cars (4000 street rods a year on average) have to all be pre-49 (though I did notice some post-49 in the swap meet area this year). There's always tons of beautiful chrome and steel, from mint or near mint to rust-bucket jalopies and rat rods. I ...

Sorry I'm not more tech savvy. It's red with a white manual top and push button transmission. Had lots of tranny fluid under it, but the dipstick still said (over)full. ??? Started, ran, and shifted just fine. Does anyone know anything about Mopar Park cables? This seems to be a part mostly associated with the pushbutton automatics. Right now, our's is disconnected, and we'll probably have to take it in for repair.

Thanks,

I was watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions again and got to drooling and thinking. Although guitars can be expensive, they are no where close to what classic cars go for. For example, my dream guitar would be an original 57 6120 gretsch. You could find an original for 10K ish or a new repro for 2.5K. Expensive to be sure, but possible.

When I see these classic cars going for 100s of thousands of dollars, I know it will never be obtainable, just a pipe dream. So it got me to wondering, ...

this is my bike.

The frame is nearly the same HD uses for E-Glide and Road King in these days.

Itīs my 4th Harley. I started with a sportster and Iīm still a Sportster Fan.

Really cool bikes, but for long distance rides a little uncomfortable.

Thatīs why i bought in 2003 this bike. I rebuilt the motor (together with my friend, a prof. mechanic)
