PostSubject: Dream Cars   Tue Nov 18, 2008 9:12 am

I was watching the Barrett-Jackson auctions again and got to drooling and thinking. Although guitars can be expensive, they are no where close to what classic cars go for. For example, my dream guitar would be an original 57 6120 gretsch. You could find an original for 10K ish or a new repro for 2.5K. Expensive to be sure, but possible.

When I see these classic cars going for 100s of thousands of dollars, I know it will never be obtainable, just a pipe dream. So it got me to wondering, what would be my all time dream/ money is no object car?

I have simple and predictable tastes I guess. I'd go for this as my daily driver:

and this for my weekender:

I guess I'm more of a resto/street guy than a custom guy.
So anyone else want to offer up their dream cars?

kbilly - I really dig the two-tone paint! And you couldn't have better colors. I love it. How fast does she fly?

This one is from the Monstergarage with Jesse James, and since I saw that Episode I'm in love with this car.

You got great taste Cristo. Actually, all the cars show are fantastic looking things. I'd love to get my hands on a brand new Aston Martin DB9. In terms of old cars, I'm suddenly finding myself liking Hod Rods, but I'd loooooooooove a 57 Thunderbird, especially the supercharged F code:

I used to be a huge fan of this one when I was a kid:

A life-size replica of the "star" of a Norwegian animated movie from the mid-seventies. Kinda cool, huh? Smile
