We were very excited at the prospect of having one of my favorite new artists, Imelda May, open a bunch of shows for us on this year's Christmas tour. We were saving this as a surprise for the people coming to those shows that she was going to do. Everything was set to go until her record company, in the eleventh hour, pulled away her tour support. Join me in signing a petition that I would like to send to her label to do the right thing and support her career in the U.S.

I think it's going to be pretty hard, honestly. She has some shows in December in the UK and Ireland... but there are some free gaps to tour the East Coast..... aawwhhh, I can't wait to see Imelda May someday!!!

Yeh , i really dig Imelda , what a bummer to read Verve will not support a tour , that is a great chance to get her in front of some crowds .
I bought my cd at Best buy the week it came out for those looking for it .

I really hope you guys in the US get to see Imelda play live sometime soon, either with BSO or with her band. I've seen Imelda play three times now and she is always a treat to see live and puts on a great show. Wink

She also used to sing in a british swing band called Blue Harlem a few years ago, so try to check out her stuff with them too. Although it's not as good as her solo music but its still great stuff. They have two albums featuring Imelda - 'Talk To Me' and 'Jump Jack Jump' Cool
