That's the name of my new Rockabilly Band! I play lead guitar. We have a great singer who also plays rhythm guitar and a double bass player who started playing just a year or so ago but is very talented! No drummers at all! Today we recorded nearly the whole rehersal session and this is the best recording so far. Everything was recorded in one take, with just one (ONE) microphone, in our rehersal room. We used the freeware program "Audacity" to record it. I hope you like our version of "Hey good lookin'"!
The Spearmints are:
Franz - Vocals, Guitar Christoph - Lead Guitar Alex - Double Bass

Great guitar you got. Great cover. Sounds ok to me without drums. Elvis didn't have any drums when he started...
Your singer got a Ibanez Artwood28? I have one too, but mine is from Japan 1987. Never gonna get rid of it. How is his guitar sounding/playing?

Thanks guys! Patrick, that actually is my Ibanez, and yes, as far as I can remember the model number it's an aw 28! I got it at a great price a few years ago because the biggest music shop in munich had to get rid of all the acoustics to make room for a new delivery. It only cost me 390€! It has a built in tuner which doesn't work anymore because the button that actibated it broke^^ And the fishman preamp sounds great! It plays great even though I don't really bond with the neck profile as it hurts my fingers when I play bar chords a bit longer than usual. That doesn't happen with my other guitars. It has some fretbuzz going on, too but that doesn't bother me at all. Its a great bang for the buck! I'll never get rid of it, too!

Thanks Brett! It's a private birthday party and we'll only do one set, there's also a band we're friends with which'll be playing before and after us. Man, that'll be fun =)

Wohooo! We rocked and got great feedback! Vids are still being downloaded from the Camera, but here's a little teaser pic for you!
Thanks for all the nice comments! We noticed that having a drummer for shows is a big andvantage, so we're having someone try out next week!
More to come later on today!
Greetings
Chris

The best bavarian Rock 'n' Roll song ever! So you probably won't understand anything^^ Had some minor PA problem mid song before the solo but it worked out allright
Please excuse all the wild old people dancing and twisting in front of the camera^^ The cheap camera mic also cut out most of the slappbass sound which is why you don't hear any of it...

Spontaneous Jamsession at our first gig together with Robert and Alex from "The Lazy Lovers". (Robert is the guy with the red hotrod, alex is the drummer) Robert had a bad car crash after the gig because two dudes had a race in an area where only 40 km/h was allowed and drove at 90 km/h. One of them crashed straight into him. He has injured his knee and broke his right arm but was very lucky and got no internal injuries! He's doing allright but is still in hospital.
