What do you think of that guitar, $ 700 brand new at my local shop?

Is it a good deal?

How good is that guitar?

Depends a bit on when they were built. I heard that the very first ones (they had another bigsby and a pinned bridge) were not too good, then they changed them. I got one of them and they're pretty good for the price. I've got one of them, and with the right Pickups you'll get a very good tone out of it. The stock PU's aren't bad, but TV Jones put it to a higher level. NOw they changed the guitars again. they do now come with a silver Pickguard which looks a lot better then the clear one which used to be on mine. BUT: I've been told, that they now are using cheaper wood, and that they wouldn't sound as good as the other ones. BUt I've just been told of that, don't know if it's true.
I just can say, that the Electromatics are good working guitars, that are more than worth the price you pay for them.

And they don't look less sexy then their expensive sisters Wink :
