Just wondering? Can't seem to save the image to an acceptable format for the forum. But it's on page 2, image 120. http://briansetzer.com/guitar-gallery

I believe its his original 57' tweed deluxe.. I think I should go put my glasses on first. In the extra features of his "few of my favorite things" I think I saw it next to the piano.
I'll get the straight for you gimme a minute or 10. My kids bday today, big 7!

Actually, I think that's the Tweed Princeton "practice amp" he's had for years. I've read about it in a couple of old interviews.

i'd thought that but it just appears bigger than that? maybe my little 13" powerbook makes it look fair sized.

The Princeton had a bigger cab than the Champ did, wouldn't surprise me if the Princeton's cab WAS the Deluxe's cab. Too early to dig out my Fender reference book or Setz paraphenalia, but I remember someone asking him "why the Tweed Princeton as a practice amp?" and he said "it just has the tone".
FYI, you can hear it on one of the Xmas DVDs, where they are arranging "My Favorite Things".

They show that amp in that extra feature.. I'm still swing the idea of it being a 55'-60' narrow panel deluxe 5E3.. although the narrow panel princeton was 13 1/2 tall...

Regardless, it's uber kewl. It looks taller than a Princeton cab to me, less rectangular...but maybe thats a tweed thing. I also notice in the JBTV vids, he's playing a combo but you can never get a good look at it, sounds amazing though.
Amazingly frustrating how the camera man manages to keep the mic right in the way so you can't see his left had well to pick up some of the changes.

he has used a blonde twin in the studio but the quick shot of the camera looked like it was that brown face bandmaster he was doin tv appearances with.. heck could be a blonde deluxe.. I'm gonna download it and run it through Imovie. Interesting tidbit... that was the first setzer sig and it didnt have tvjones yet if I remember correctly... the first japanese alnicos made for that guitar. TERRIBLE.. I had them in my 99' SSU and SSL (the mags dont even go all the way across the pickups and the covers are really thick) Setz still sounds good but they had the cab mic'd, the room mic'd, and his vocal mic was very hot so it was pickin up the guitar acoustically too. I'd love an audio recording of that session. His tone is awesome no matter what he plays through

While searching for turtleneck pics for my previous post I found this one, it made me laugh and I had to share.
