Strings: which ones?

Just wondering what kind(s) of strings you guys use on your Gretsches.

I'm currently using DR pure blues 11-49 on my Spectra Sonic. I was looking to switch to pure nickel strings, but wasn't sure if those would have enough magnitism for the powertrons. The pure nickel strings (Snake Oil Brand) work great on my tele, but the service for Snake Oil Brand strings has gotten a bad rep since I ordered a few trial sets for my tele a couple years back.

I like pure nickel strings because they don't chew down your frets like steel strings do. I've used D'daddario and EB on my tele for 3 years on my tele, and my frets were showing more wear than it should have, and I don't want that for my Spectra Sonic...though some fatter frets would be sweet

If anyone's on a budget, try the Curt Mangans. Currently using the 10-42 and not only are they cheaper than D-Addarios, but they sound better and last longer.

I think they sell those at a drum store here...I'll have to check in and pick up a set or two to try out.

Been using D'addario strings all my life in all the guitars.
I've tried some funny strings like Elixir etc. but they're
not twice as good as the price suggest.
