For anyone who remembers Johnsons - the London shop that was the epitome of the look of the 80's rockabilly scene in UK - good news is that their clothes are back in production but on a much smaller scale - and at a much higher price - even allowing for inflation! Back cover of the catalogue has a couple of vintage - and common - pics of the Stray Cats in their Johnsons apparel.
I was frequent shopper there at the time but could never afford the £850 for their leather jackets today - was about £125 in 1982.
If I could afford it though wouldn't think twice - would look like the veritable 'rockingest cat in the galaxy'!!
