Ok I know this is lazy of me, but does anyone know the opening chord progression of Rooster Rock?

Generally I'd work it out myself.

Cheers
John

Im not sure if the chord names are right but check the tabs:

Rooster Rock Roosterrockstarttu1

That's basic Setzer stuff that can be heard in other songs, like Too Hip Gotta Go etc.

Just thought of doing a quickie in GuitarPro whilst having my first cup of coffee today.

Rock on.

Hey Ossi

Excuse my ignorance, but how did you put that Tab together so well?
I haven't heard of GuitarPro before, or if I have I've forgotten it, happens a lot at my age Sad

Can you give me a little insight?

Thanks
John

I've been using this software quite some time. It's pretty good value for cash IMO.

Some stuff I find it usefull in the app:
Can save as midi, is cool for importing later to Cubase and/or saving to pdf for printing.
Also, some tables about chords and scales etc.

There's a little learnig curve like in most of software but when you get over that
it's a blast to work with. I'd say it helps a lot to use the keyboard together with
the mouse at the same time.

Günther sells it a bit cheaper, 52 euros as of writing
and official site has it at 59 euros

You could download it and try the demo.
Need tabs? Here, let me google that for ya...

Also, I got muchos tabs and some Setzer stuff.

Very Happy

Hi Ossi

I've got a copy of Guitar Pro5.

As you said quite a learning curve but it looks like a great teaching aid.

Thanks for putting me on to it

Cheers

Yeah, is cool and not-in-the-hundreds-expensive.

I highly recommend using the keyboard, like in most programs.

Check the F2 for RSE, makes a difference. After putting it on,
check that the instrument (press F7) is really using RSE and not standard crappy midi sounds.
Well, its still crappy if using distorted sounds.
Very Happy

I put notes with clicking with mouse and jumping forward with arrows on keyboard.

A --> as shift+a opens the make-and-insert-chord, thats a funny one to play with.

F5 -> Score info
F6 -> the track your on
F7 -> instruments

etc.

I suggest loading up some song and hitting on that keyboard with a rage of a maniac Very Happy
ie. just check out the most important, --> F1

Wink
