The Crickets - Rockin' 50s Fest 2007

In honor of the 50th anniversary of the last show of Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens, and JP Richardson (the Big Bopper), I'm posting links to my videos of the Crickets in action at the Oneida Casino in May of 2007.

My camerawork is pretty poor - sorry about that.

I had seen the Crickets a few months earlier, and they hadn't played Not Fade Away. I was kind of bummed, because it's one of my favorite Cricket songs. I knew Jerry (J.I.) Allison (the drummer) had contributed to the writing of it, though he didn't receive writing credit - I thought maybe that was part of the reason why they hadn't played it at that earlier show. So I was pretty pleased when JI started pounding away!
