So, I had to lay down tabs for me bassist today and thought of
figuring out what's going on with the gretsch while im at it.

I know it's not 100% correct but i think it's perty close.

Both, bass and guitar tracks included.

As usual, if you spot any errors post here and maybe I'll fix it on the pdf..

Download the PDF.

At the end of the solo there's some pretty jazzy chords (bar 52)
that im not sure if i got it right:

Also, the ending riff is kinda kinky too, gotta love it.

Hi ossi, here are a couple of examples of how I play some of those parts.

This is how I think the intro and verse figure is played, as octaves.

Intro & Verse figure (mp3 example)

and this is how I more or less play the chord run at the end of the solo.
Using the shape below and chromatically moving it down from the 8th fret to the 5th, with a little sliding and bigsby action of course.

End of solo chord run (mp3 example)
On the record, Brian actually strikes the chord once or twice more than I do in my example but it should give a clear enough idea of what's happening ......I hope.

I hope they're of some use.

Thanks man!

Sweet sounding stuff.

I suspect that the trick is to use the bigsy so it sounds a little off.

Very Happy

No prob man, you keep up the good work also.
I haven't actually ever heard the Cats do this track live, which suprises me to be honest.
There'a a song that he played with the Tomcats though which has an almost identical verse figure.
That's why it sounds like octaves to me.
When I remember which song it is, I'll post a clip.

Might be the song it's based on, Everybody's Movin' by Glen Glenn.

(not sure if that's available outside the US)
