I'm selling my guitar amp. Never used.. Story goes - I purchased this amp when I first started playing guitar and then 2 weeks later my brother brought me a Marshall. I've only ever used the Marshall so this amp is technically brand new and never used. Randall 40W RG40R It is a few years old, has been stored in a box in my cupboard and never used for the entire time.. Comes with all the leads and manual.. How much should I price it at? Kid.

Pony music recording studio in Melbourne has a classified section in its melband forum and there is one of your amps running $230 aus. They are for sale here for $300 new, so $175 used USD but then again, Randall is not a real popular brand here outside of METAL

Haha thanks TV I'd like to get a good price for it as it's never been used and is pretty much brand new but I know that I won't get much for it as even though it's never been used it's still a 3-4yr old amp.

My other amp is a Marshall AVT50X... this is a better amp than the Randall right? Either way I want to sell one of them, I don't need both.. I assumed Marshall was a better brand, but maybe it is just more well known and widely used? Which one is better than the other?

I live mostly in the tube amp world but I can say that while its a solid state amp with a tube preamp.. its worlds better. Decent clean tone and raging hard rock. My boy was testing one with an SG and was impressed, but like a good guitar snob I told him only all tube amps are allowed in the vega house. JK I own a princeton 90 DSP and a Bullet 15
ps. pricewise the marshall yields more resale interest. |
