| I am a long time fan of all things "Nightmare before Xmas" , the song "making christmas" is something my oldest boy it trying to work out on his cello..all to say we were looking for string arrangements on line and found a seven string guitarist with some Uber talent on a 7 string guitar and great voice.. Sally's Song is a highlight in the movie to my wife . check this guys arrangement: |

| I've said it before, I'll say it again: Ditch the capo and get a hair cut hippy. The guy clearly is very talented, but I got issues with 7 string guitars. Like 6 isn't enough? I say first master, I mean master 6 strings then maybe 7 would do something for you. The only guy I've seen that really used 7 strings well, made it something he couldn't possible do with just 6 is: Makes Dragon force look like Elvis Costello |

It does seem like 7 stringers are of the shred ilk ala Steve Vai, etc plus the Korn era anger sludge... BUT
One of the originators was George Van Eps and he wanted the 7 string to be able to play both walking bass lines, chords melody and lead lines..
Gretsch obliged him with a seven stringer

| Now that's what I'm talkin bout, always was a fan. To justify 7 strings, you need to be able to do what you couldn't do with 6. But then again, old Scotty Anderson manages to get the bass lines working pretty impressively without the extra string. |
