Hey TV, how is that Wild West parlor guitar? Does it have good tone? How's the intonation? Budge - Jake E Lee was a mean guitar player! I loved the Bark at the Moon album, and got to see him play here when they came through town.

First off I love Ozzie and Bark at the moon, but rhandy rhoads is forever near and dear to my shredd!

the parlor guitar is cool, I gave it a heavier gauge coated phosphor bronze strings and a set of grover sta-tite tuners to replace the crappers it came with.
Its not on par with a baby taylor or Seagull parlor for rhythm but
flat picking is rad. I am going to record with it. Also fun with a slide
in drop D.

The first time I saw the Oz man and band was 3 weeks after RR was killed (my first ever convert). The player for that band was a cat named Brad Gillis. He was also on the Speak of the Devil album. I think he also played with Night Ranger. Anyway I thought Jake was a real unique player. RR occupies near sainthood status within the guitar world.

Yes, Brad Gillis did play with Night Ranger... One thing about Ozzy; he never picked any slouches to play geetar for him after he got booted from Sabbath. Zakk Wylde is a mighty fine shredder hisself!

Don't ask me, I don't know.

I remember being impressed with him in the videos from the early '90s, but by that point I had long moved past my metal phase.

OK OK...

Here's the family... in the downstairs room I am refinishing as my "guitar bar" (yes it will have a bar in it!)

If you notice a lack of amps, it's because I just purged my amps & went guitar shopping. Besides, I've decided to stop "going thru amps", I'm just going to save up for what I really want: a Swart, and a Blonde Bassman. Maybe a little tweed princeton or something... Smile

L to R:

1990 Ovation Custom Legend Deep Bowl (from my hair band days)
1988 Charvel/Jackson 3DR w/Floyd Rode (also from my hair band days)
2005 Gretsch Hot Rod in Candy Apple Red
1996 Fender American Standard Telecaster (modified) - MY #1
199? "beater"- Lone Star all-cedar steel string acoustic (for taking to the beach, etc)
2007 PRS SE Singlecut with McCarty switching & Lollar Imperial pups (smokes!)
[the yellow Les Paul in pic #2 is gone for the PRS]

Amps: (in pic #2)
Genz Benz Black Pearl 30 1x12
Fender Champion 600 "Reissue" (in the process of being modded)

Pedals: (in pic #2)
Radial PB-1 Power Booster/Buffer
Paul Cochrane Timmy
Fulltone Fulldrive 2 Custom Shop in Fiesta Red
Monster Effects Swamp Thang Tremolo
Maxon AD-999 Delay
Line 6 Echo Park Delay
Danelectro Dan-Echo (gone)
Digitech DigiVerb
ST-200 Turbo Tuner

Not pictured:
Lovepedal Echo Baby (OH BABY WHAT A COOL DELAY!)

9 - That's a nice collection/set up/basement. I can envision the Cave Dwellers hangin' out there, running through some tunes and consuming some cave beverages! TV - yeah, my musical tastes diversified quite a bit. I did dig the grunge stuff, but I was also into alternative before that. Hell I like a lot of stuff. As far as the Seattle scene, I was pretty deep into Pearl Jam for a while, maybe first three albums or so.

What the heck is hippy about Stone Temple Pilots, Pearl Jam and Nirvana?!

And what's wrong with hippies, anyway?

It's all music. What matters is whether it moves you and you think it's good.
