latest video demo with the Nocturne into a 65' non reverb Princeton with a 12" vox alnico blue.
Also using the new $79 EH Memory Toy analog echo.. pay no attention to the monkey.

I had to give the metal one a "name", its about the same amount of
labor as the painted one because I have to actual do 3 step sanding
instead of just scuffing the raw box before priming like on the others.
I made this one for Buddy Dughi of the Hot Rod Trio, but its just a pict of the box before pintriping and another coat of clear and buff job.
(all that nonsense before even putting the circuit in it, like hotrods)

this picture below is the only REAL "ratrod-ish" box I've done, as it was for a guy with a heavy relic custom shop black telecaster. too labor intensive, almost like the guitar bodies I do. gotta charge for the "Art"
of it all.

Buddy D?!? that pretty cool!! Sounds like some hi-profile cats are getting themselves a Nocturne! I may have someone interested in my old ovation, if that goes through, I will be sending you some funds before someone else finds another use for them for me.

I think I've been a good person, and I sacrificed some blonde bassman funds earlier in the year to get a ring for the lady...I think I deserve a new toy or two? What a Face

Gotta live in the cult Rockabilly world to recognize that Name Smile Buddy Dughi leads the Hot Rod Trio.. been around since the neo rockabilly
wave .. He is the thin clean cut silver pomped dude in the Gretsch
catalogs usually sporting the double button cowboy shirts.

PostSubject: The NOCTURNE XMAS edition now avail..   Fri Oct 09, 2009 10:57 am

havent had any new orders and I just had my supplier send me 20 more boxes for a 3rd run so we're offering an XMAS limited ed. Sno-Globe sparkle version. Its not cheap but I'm not making money off it, its just
something my painter was able to pull off from my wacky vision of
what the Grinch would have as a Nocturne pedal.
Avail on the website until Dec. 5th:

I've heard of Buddy Dughi mostly from Gretsch NAMM videos and Gomez amps' website. I've only really heard a few Hot Rod Trio songs, didn't seem as in your face as some of the RHH or Legendary Shack Shakers stuff that I'm used to....(I need to venture more into the rockabilly scene...I mean here I am on a Setzer fan forum...and I'm lacking any true Setzer albums... Embarassed infact I only have "Revival" by RHH as my only billy album...the rest are odds and ends).

The x-mas edition Nocturnes are great, but the Tangelo is an awesome color...and the tangerine sparkle...and the copper one from a few posts ago...

hopefully my ovation sells

know anyone who'd want a Fulltone'69 from '96 and/or a 94 Les Paul Studio with some minor wear/tear chips that has the cool brown and hot pink lining case and seymour duncan pups (Alnico Pro 2 and a JB) original pups included?

I'll GIVE you a nocturne for the '69 pedal.. I sold mine yrs ago and it was my favorite!!
ps. Reverend Horton HEAT - Lucky 7 is great, Setzer '69 comeback..get em'
Hot rod trio is that ol'skool hillbilly sound, not Rev at all.. We like Tiger Army too, more
of a Smiths meet rockabilly and go AFI.

I replied to your PM.

The Smiths!!! I could never put my finger on what Tiger Army reminded me of. I have a few of their songs, and I like what I have so far. My Dad said he just got some RHH stuff so I might have to see what he has as well as check out those mentioned.

I replied back! Smile ya.. tiger army's first few albums are really cool, then the lead singer
started hangin out and giggin with AFI so their last album sounded like morressy got
a drum machine from the 80s.

Hey TV, send me a couple of those and I can "rat" them out no extra charge. Tsk tsk. Frayed cords scratchy pots, no problem.
