The shark now has slim Jim`s autograph under it.

The Cat is waiting for some more work - maybe the "Stray Cats" writing, maybe some musical notes round it, just something to give it more "oomph, more pazazzzz...."

Thanks! Actually they are vintage Halloween decorations. Halloween is my favorite Holiday. I wanted to do something with Stray Cats also, and when I saw these, they were perfect!

PPK, I really dig the 3 cat musician tats. Totally rad. I've been trying to design my own for a few months, but still don't have the cash (or guts, maybe) to actually go through with it. One of my designs came out kinda like the 3 cats you've got, but I think yours are cooler! Basically, my idea was to get the whole 3-piece band thing going on, and they were cats with instruments.

If I can scan my sketches or find a camera, maybe I'll post 'em up here.

wow you guys are really brave, I could never get a tat-what if your arm/leg swells up?? ouch! that would hurt

The ones on my back were the most uncomfortable. It does swell up a little, but I think it's worth it. Tattoos are not for everyone.

I know - i should have put all responses in one post.

Your still young. I didnt get my first one until I was in my mid 30's. They're not for everyone.

I have one on my right shoulderblade and one on the top of my right foot. Those HURT, more than any of my other tattoos (even the "Mom" tattoo next to my spine!!) But the hurt goes away after a couple days, as does the swelling.

Something I hear a lot: "don't those hurt?" (as in, hurt right now, years after they were done!) Trust me, if they hurt forever there'd be a lot less of them in the world!!

Whilst Jim has seen my arm, he didn`t actually sign it - when i met him he did see the tattoo, but whilst he autographed album and CD covers, they were in big thick pen, and not suitable.

Faith at SJP.com kindly agreed that, as she was seeing Jim shortly after i met him, she would get a "good" autograph for me. So, i got one, nice and neat, thin pen.

This gave me the option of placing it exactly where i wanted under the tattoo, central and balanced. A tattoo is for life, so i wanted it exactly as i wanted, hence not getting it signed there and then and putting up with it, even if not quite straight, level, central etc...

I don`t think the sig is in the photo, i had it added after i posted the photo on HDVDL.
