| So I just got back from a 4 week holiday in New South Wales (NSW is a state of Australia which is south of Brisbane where I live). I did a lot of cool things, spent a lot of time out doors taking in the beautiful scenery. One of my favourite things that I did was walking to the Kanangra Wall Plateau - man my legs were sore the day after!! Well here is a photo of my boyfriend and I a top of the plateau: So, we look like ants but that just shows you the magnitude of our surroundings Kid. | |

Sounds like you had a great holiday - congrats! Let's see some more pics! We set the timer on the camera and then ran around to the plateau.... Hehe, my boyfriends parents also took the walk with us so his mum to the photo. For those interested - the kanangra walls are situated within the Blue Mountains

| Wow, Kid! That's rad! I think Pete might be a little disappointed if I came to visit... I talk the talk, but I think if I stepped off that plane, I'd be in awe, and wanna check out all the cool scenery, stuff like this. And he'd give me all kinds of hell for not livin' up to my party animal reputation. OR... Can you take a cooler of beer up there? Good stuff, Kid! | |

Can you take a cooler of beer up there? Hehe well if you're willing to carry it up the mountain to get it there I'm willing/able to carry up to, and maybe a little more, than 200 pounds. For about a 2 hour hike. After that, I need a 10 minute rest... and maybe a beer. Or two. Then I could conceivably continue the journey. The thing is... coolers are awkward for carrying. Normally, coolers are carried from CAR to DESTINATION. Desitnation, being no more than 20 yards from the car. Usually. But, desperate times call for desperate measures. Being the hard-ass, un-cultured, ignorant American that I am... Pistol Pete? Rene? I volunteer to haul a full weekend's worth of barley-pop up to the peak of any mountain you wish, when I come to visit. Given, of course, you two show me around a little bit. And, of course, introduce me to them "sheilas" I keep hearin' about! That accent, some freckles, and red hair....... just ain't fair. I will rely on you two gentlemen to keep me outta trouble!

| I gotta stop clicking on this thread. Every time I see that picture, I want to yell at the screen for Kid to get away from the ledge. Once a parent, always a parent, I guess. The scenery is beautiful, but that overhanging ledge looks like it could break off any minute. Of course, Kid and her beau and the ledge would probably just remain suspended out there like the Road Runner cartoons while the mountainside crumbled away. Wile E Coyote-billy | |

Wile E Coyote-billy Hehe well considering it is a ledge because the stuff underneath fell away once upon a time then yes it is likely that one day the ledge will fall off also.. I just dont want to be on it when it happens

| Kid, great photo! I wouldn't dare get that close to the edge! But that's not what made me think 'wow'...... it was this..... So I just got back from a 4 week holiday .... 10 days is the longest i've ever been away from home!!!! So you do realise that 4 weeks a YEAR is what the average person's holiday rota from work would be! Jealous? Envious? You bet i am! Glad you had a great time! | |
