TWANG CENTRAL GUITARS....My favourite guitar shop...

We all must have a favorite guitar shop that we love to visit. Mine is owned by a friend of mine Terry, or as we call him Tezza, and is situated right across the road from the Earl of Brunswick Pub! How conveniant for when guests drop in!
Twang Central Guitars is a specialist vintage and collector store that also carries hard to find pedals.





When ya walk into this shop, this is what you can see and hear. The guys there have been invilved in the music sales industry for 30+years, they remember the old days of "mom and pop"music shops.

My favorite music store is "Marios Musikladen" here in my hometown. It's nothing special, and not very big aswell, but it's very familiar. They know all their customers, and only sell stuff of that they really are convinced that it is good. It's fun to visit that store, hear some stories, and see what new stuff they have.

My luck, that he got that endorsement by Trace Elliot, because that was the reason he sold his '59 Bassman (that thing was on tour with Manfred Mann!)

I don't visit shops very often anymore.

Maybe for picks and strings or so.

Im afraid ending up buying cool gear and blowin' teh bank account.

I would never buy anything in a guitar store these days, all the best prices are from virtual friends online.

In the late 80s and 90s, I use to spend at least an hour a day at
Caleb's guitar in old town Redlands(now called redlands guitar store). It was just like the TV show "Cheers", plenty of mom and pop coffee houses to gig at and hang too...

Guitar Center and Starbucks killed the musician's lairs around these
parts. They put Caleb out of business and all the talented luthiers and teachers in that store.

But.. that was past good times..
