Oh My God. I just read the video's description. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!
...and now I've just finished watching the whole video - those are some really awesome submissions, everybody! Drawings, photography, graphic art.... some beautiful work!! I got a big smile on my face every time I saw one I recognized from here.
It was a nice suprise to see one of my covers on BS.com as the beginning of the You Tube video. the old hulk of a car was taken in Tombstone Arizona near Boothill Graveyard. I also saw my other submissions in the video.
Thanks to Surfdog and Brian for sharing everyone's submission. There was a lot of great covers.
Have A Gretsch Day !

No worries Miguel.. pero ya sabes como va esto; si no eres un pelota pues no te ponen nada.
Concerning the artwork that's going to be used for the front cover... i think it's the worst, specially after having seeing the great designs in the clip. It would be a nice idea if Surfdog makes the booklet for the lyrics with some of the designs as wallpapers...

Me voy a poner a lloraaaaaarr, buahh, buahh Un abrazo my friend!!
If I recall correctly, miguelbrian6120's design was cool (Brian in the subway). However, it violated a key rule in that the submitted artwork could not utilize previously published photos, especially without the permission of the original photographer. I remember the subway photos appearing on the official site a few years back. And I doubt Miguel took them. Upon re-watching the video, I'd say it looks like a few others ignored this rule as well.
The talent on display in that montage makes me even more excited that Andi's photo was the winner. Perhaps some of the other submissions (which are now Surfdog property) will appear in the booklet or possibly adorn some tour merchandise (t-shirts, tour booklets, cocktail coaster sets, etc.).

Art of Noise-a-billy
Well, I was joking!!! The photo of the subway was taken in Manhattan by me in 2007, when I travelled from Valencia (Spain) to see The Brian Setzer Orchestra. Is original, but obiously I had to use a Brian shot of a magazine to make my imaginarious cover. Well, like you says in the video montage is a looooooot of talent!!
I'd say there were probably too many submitted to include in one video and have enough time on each one to see anything. As it is you get, what, only about a 1 1/2 second glimpse of each one. Mine wasn't there either. No biggie. There were some really fantastic pieces. I'm glad Surfdog let us catch a little glimpse of 'em.

I do want to host a gathering at the Universal city walk's sheraton hotel.. like a pre party or after party for the Gibson amph. Xmas show.. Its for all those who dont get to rub shoulders with the suits or suck the knees of "meat and grate packages".

After watching the video it is staggering to think that they could go with the cover they're using! There were countless ideas that were infinitely better! As for the tune I have to put myself in what seems to be a minority of one -I really didn't like it. Too AOR/schmaltzy/elevatory for me - but as I came to the man via the rockabilly route with the Cats way back when I'm probably biased -plus I freely admit that four chords in a song is often one too many in my listening tastes!!
