Rod,

You came to the right place! I have seen the Christmas show, and it is fantastic. I envy you, getting to see it at the Ryman - as good as the show is all over the tour, I'm guessing the band can't help but be inspired by the surroundings.

Have you heard the Christmas CDs? Expect to hear most everything that's on those. The BSO version of "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" is probably going to be featured, as well, since that's the newest of the Christmas numbers. You can pretty much count on a set where Brian pulls the bass player and drummer out front and does some non-Christmas stuff.

If you want a taste, go back to the main HoodooVoodoolounge page, and click the video link at the top. Scroll down past the Stray Cats stuff, and you'll find numerous links to video clips (I suppose most of these might be on YouTube as well). The specific one that sunk its hooks into me was Late Night with Conan O'Brien from November 28, 2005. I'm really not kidding when I say...it changed my life!

Yes...this was my first post. I just discovered this site last week. I must be blind because I can find no video link on the home page. I have been to a couple of shows at the Ryman....and it does take on a different feel. Can't wait till December!!

If you're on www.hoodoovoodoolounge.com you'll see a pink leopard banner graphic, with one row of links in white text above, and one row of links below. 'Video' is the leftmost link in the lower row. This should also get you to the video page:

buy the Xmas DVD.. that was his Best Xmas show ever.. We've gone pretty much every year.
The last one he did (no show last xmas, he took a break..sniffle sniffle) was kind of tame and 40's sleek with a Video screen behind him.. I didnt
like it so much but it kept my youngest son entertained like mad.. Setzer knows what he's
doing even if I dont like him hiding his amp in a big stupid jukebox. Smile never the less its the
highlight of the holidays save for the big day itself.

By all means, get the DVD, but not until after the show. It'd be like opening your presents early!
