'57 Chevy: -3 cl Grand Marnier -3 cl Southern Comfort -3 cl Wodka -then fill it up with Pineapple-Juice

| My personal favorite: Rusty Nail 1 1/2 oz Scotch 1/2 oz Drambuie (American Honey liquor will also work in a pinch, or if the budget is limited ) Pour over a couple of ice cubes, sit back, and enjoy. Cheers, hrg | |

| Sorry I don't have the recipe, but I know you web-savvy folk will look it up: favorite mixed drink is Margarita, on the rocks, with salt. I'm not a very good bartender, so I have to find one to whip one up for me! I'm also starting to get into martini's. Had one a couple months back called a Giraffe. Couldn't tell you what was in it, but it went down good. And it helped my pool game. If I could only drink one thing for the rest of my life it would be wine though. Sorry, that's kind of boring. My favorite is from a local winery JAV (James Arthur Vineyards) called Edyn's Blush. But if you're at a bar, and need a swizzle stick, and some ice to catch the attention of "tall, dark & handsome" across the room, a margarita is the way to get it done. Or, if you just had a big fight and you want to forget what you came to forget? Margarita. Shot of tequila. Margarita. Followed by a Slippery Nipple (you'll have to look that one up too). And a beer chaser. And don't start texting. But that's a different story. I don't make 'em, I just order 'em. | |

| 1 Ice cold pilsner glass 12 fl.oz of Red Trolly Ale from San Diego's Karl Strauss brewery pour into glass consume or... the Cosmonaut (my invention) 1 high ball glass filled with cubed Ice 2 shots of Titos handmade Vodka from Texas (thanks Sharky) 1 shot of 100% cranberry juice 1 slice of lemon. Add Tito's (chill first to 32 degrees in freezer) into shaker with cubed Ice along with cranberry juice, shake like a monkey for 1 minute strain into highball glass over cubed ice squeeze slice of lemon over drink, add lemon. stir once. consume.. this is not a manly drink but damn its tasty and you wont get a headache (tito's is high quality vodka without the price) | |

| Tito's is good stuff. I'm told it's corn based vodka, which explains its unique flavor in comparison to potato based vodkas. It's a top shelf brand, 5 times distilled. You can get a half gallon for $35 or so. | |

| TV, You make a Cosmonaut with Tito's Vodka made in Texas? Wow. Does sound good, though. PBR story: The night before I graduated from college, I took the folks to this really nice German restaurant. They prided themselves on offering beer from all around the world, primarily Deutschland, of course, but basically, any beer you could think of, plus hundreds you've never heard of. So we're at the bar before we eat, the bartender asks my dad what he wants, and he asks for a Pabst. Bartender looks at him, looks at me, I shrug, he goes back to the cooler. He comes out a minute later, and goes to the basement. Two minutes later, he comes up with a six-pack of PBRs in aluminum cans. (I guess he didn't want to run back down there in case Dad wanted another.) So apparently, G'maniac, you're not the only one who's less than impressed with Pabst! Pretty much the only time I drink it is when I'm at a rockabilly show (just to be cliche, I guess ) My recipe: 2-to-1 Dry Martini Double shot of gin Single shot of dry vermouth Pour over crushed ice, stir (don't shake), strain into a martini glass. I was inspired by Mad Men to start on the martinis. Before the start of Season 4, I'm going to have to get some scotch - time to expand my horizons of drinkitude! | |

How did they get work done!??? @T-rick ...The vodka from Tito's is unique but its holding its own against the giants of vodka! also.. Tito's sayin its 6x distilled Whatever that means.. my wife stores it in the freezer and man its Smoove!

| You are correct sir on the 6x distillation for Tito's. It is good stuff and you can't beat the price. The 6x distillation just refers to the number of times that it's run through the filtration process that eliminates impurities. That's what distinguishes a top shelf product of any type from lower level brands. That's what adds to the smoothness and lowers the hangover type impacts. | |

That must be why Gentleman Jack is so tasty over crushed ice. I had to slum today with Makers Mark instead.

| All I caught about Tito's is it lessens the hangover effects...SOLD! I shall check it out! Wonder if they ship it all the way to the corn belt? Ha ha!
TV--do YOU shake like a monkey, or shake the martini mixer like a monkey? I'm confused on that. I put some cranberry juice & vodka in my martini mixer & I shook like a monkey, but it tasted the same. Thought I might have the directions wrong.
Bear--Yes, Mad Men has inspired many re-born trends, with Martini's being one of them. When the heck does season 4 start, already??? I'm dying for a fix!
