| Got this email message today: "New 2-song Digital Signal available NOW at iTunes"
Anyone know what that means? | |

| They're giving away a two song preview of the new CD that's about to drop, Yo!! It's sort of like having a 45rpm single out ahead of the LP for playing on the victrola for old folk like us, Sharks!! | |

| If you were one of the lucky ones to buy the Lonely Avenue Limited Edition Boxed Set, in addition to the multi-track mixing CD, there was a microchip you had to have your medical professional implant in your brain. This chip allows you to receive transmissions (SIGNALS) from the Surfdog Mothership for a nominal fee. It also does clever things like convince you to purchase Meet-n-Greet packages, multi-colored vinyl editions, Christmas CDs, and Bud Harrelson memorabilia.
Or it was a typo.

| Your wrong, Sharkey! You and I our the onliest wons two cache the era! Man! I almost gave myself an aneurysm reading that last sentence! When I just glanced at the heading of the email, I wondered if "signal" meant there was some sort of satellite radio channel offering up Setzer music. I've heard a few folks complain about the tracklisting on this upcoming CD. What I like, though, is the statements in the Surfdog release "We went to Brian and asked if we could start making some of these available..." and "More to come in the near future." This is terrific news, and unlike the Stray Cats 2004 tour CDs, I'm sure these won't all be from the same tour, so the variety of songs available should be pretty amazing. I realize from this tour, it would've been cool to hear the Buddy Holly covers from the night of the 50th Anniversary of the plane crash. I don't know how hard it is to get clearance from the copyright holders for the cover songs. But sometimes, those unrehearsed, one-off covers might not be up to Brian's standards for release, and so, we get what we get. Future releases might depend on how successful this release is. I encourage those of you who aren't sure whether or not you'll buy this to take the plunge and show your support. Who knows what gems might surface in the future? I, for one, am really looking forward to what else they plan to release. I have no problem getting 2-3 of these releases a year, be it digital download, CD, vinyl, 8-track, or surgically implanted microchip! Keep 'em coming! Just be sure to spell Setzer's name correctly, or you'll be hearing from Tavo's attorneys! Serfdawg Rooles!-a-billey | |

| Perhaps the "signal" they had on the brain (or is it the Brian?) was the webcast of Friday's Montreal concert! Apparently, at 9:30 Eastern Time June 25th you can access the live webcast at www.tdlivemusic.com or on Brian's Facebook Page. Since many of you have forsaken this site for Facebook, you probably already know this, but in case you missed the news, be sure to check out the "signal" Friday night. I Want My MTV-a-billy | |

| Wait. I hear the hypocrisy alarm. Me, forsake the HDVDL? I simply exited lurk mode for a few minutes, as I'm a sucker for sick pets, BK and family, and the butchering of the English language by native speakers. But I never really went away.

So THAT'S what's happened? Really? I'm on Facebook too, but I check the Lounge just as - if not more - often. I thought it was quiet here just because there isn't much happening for us Setzer fans these days (apart from the upcoming concert in Canada), but I guess you're right, Rick...
