In fact Kenny recorded The Knife Feels... (except for "Bobby's Back", by Steve Jordan - Chuck Berry, Keith Richards) and Brian wanted to hire him for The Knife Tour, but KA had other compromises so he couldn't make it. Instead, David Prater... which in my opinion was better, since I feel that Kenny plays too many licks, though I love him with John Fogerty!

Sept. 21, 1985
The very first "Farm Aid", held at the Univ. of Illinois in Champaign, IL
If I recall correctly, you can look up the Radiation Ranch performance from that same day and you'll see the band tear through the song during a downpour...............

I remember that clip and concert.
I met Kenny Aronoff at the Oscar Awards gifting suite a few months ago. He was a nice guy and I knew him the second I saw him. I gave him a Johnny Rockets VIP card which gives him and 3 friends free food at any Johnny Rockets in the world for a year. I talked to him about the Knife Feels Like Justice Days, very cool guy. I surprised him that I know about it. He said Brian was great to work with. I had my picture taken with Kenny, I will find it on my old laptop and post it here later tonight or tomorrow.
Later,
Have A Gretsch Day !!

I was happy as could be when I got this album at home. Thought never to hear again from Setzer after that Stray Cats broke up. I love that first solo album. "Chains" is my all time Setzer favorite!

E gads those were dark, dark days. Looks like an OC mega church praise band backing him. Loads of talent, short on taste.

Yep, the Johnny Rockets VIP card is a great thing to have. Since I'm a Johnny rockets employee at the corporate office, I have a VIP card. It nice to eat for free.
Have A Johnny Rockets Gretsch Day !!!

Yea Kenny! Great drummer and Mellencamp's music is just not the same without him. I saw him on tv last year or so with John Fogerty. Kenny was bashing them like Bam Bam, just fantastic.
