Just how usable or useful is a mud switch?
Am speccing up my one pickup tele/cabranita and for something different was contemplating using a mud switch instead of a tone control, the guitar will have a tv jones in the bridge.

I never really enjoyed the "mud switch" on the Gretsches I've played that had one. I find them kind of constricting. I do like TV's idea of turning it into a push-pull pot with on position being totally out of the signal and the other position with a cap! I would like to do that with my spectra sonic one position either out of the signal or have a cap that can bring out the gretsch-iness, and another position that would slay LP and 335 "women tones"...Tavo?!?
