| He my friend You have to play with one boss DM2? Some people say that the DM3 has more clarity (brightness) than the DM2 The DM 2 is darker? Of what think of it you? elvid | |

Of what think of it you? elvid DM2 is a darker slapback with less headroom, perfect for rock and blues..a shorter echo that sounds more washed out like a AD-9 by ibanez. The DM-3 has a better compander circuit and chip with a longer slapback. once modded from its 12v ACA mode to the standard 9v PSA.. its the ultimate

| I love the DM-3 for rock. I like the crispness. I don't dig mushy echo notes on my delay too much, infact unless I need lots of space which I've found the DM-3 to handle just fine, I usually keep it at a quick slapback echo. Maybe I should look into another DM-3 for the spacey stuff? I'd still like to find one of those modded DMM's that Analogman Mike did, unless there is a comparable less expensive easier to get option? | |

yah its called the Strymon El Capistan and it kicks ultimate DMM arse. haha, I said easier to get! Those do seem pretty great though, and would probably be a GAS to play through. I may have to play the shoot out game to get one someday. I like the DL-4, but I only really use the DMM and analog delay sims. I just thought they did a better slapecho sound over the tube and tape echo sims.
