What the heck is this amp and how much do you wanna bet that Brian hated playing though it that night. Sounds like craaaaaaaaaap compared to his tone

Looks like a (reissue?) Twin Reverb. I don't know about Brian, but I know for sure that I hate those amps. Waaaay too loud and powerful to get a decent tone out of IMO. Well, maybe not with a Nocturne pushing it...?

..but he's just like us! We were spontaneous smart asses until life jaded us and we became irritable old bastards.
We're Conan fans these days along with the Daily Show and Colbert Report..thats about all we have on the tube save for whatever Discovery Channel, Science channel or Nat Geo is pumpin out.
remember when we use to see videos and world news on MTV?

I want my, I want my, I want my MTV! I remember sneaking in videos on MTV back in the day. Then again, I used to watch it with rest of my family. I got a heavy dose of hair metal and what was then at the time deemed "alternative". The news updates were good, and I remember the actual news program they had, and a movie review show spun off from that. Then all of this Real World and Road Rules stuff started...
I can't even think of a music tv channel that shows videos in the way that they used to.
The late night talk shows usually come on after my bed time, except for Conan. Usually, I will DVR the others if there are good guests

Tavo...when it comes to T.V., it's like you're reading my mind. I used to lug around a twin reverb back in the 80's...never sounded that great and toooooo loud. The worst part was the weight. Bloody heavy!

Aah, but them metal dudes are crazy, you know...
What blows MY mind is Albert Collins, who played a Tele through a Quad Reverb with everything on 10...

With a CAPO even!! although its said he used extreme lengths of guitar cable so if he had say 50ft of cable the highs may have been "ice-man" and not so icepick

Didn't the Nuge at some point use like 6 Super Twins? I thought I read that somewhere.
Albert Collins is great! Never realized I was exposed to him at an early age until I recently watched the movie Adventures in Babysitting.
Fender Quad Reverb all on 10 would be crazy!

Look at this. A Fender Twin reverb or something like that again.
But a very cool performance.

The mix on Lettermans stage leaves much to be desired quite often also.
