Subject: the Strymon LEX rotary pedal.. a quick demo Thu May 19, 2011 1:01 pm
Here's a demo vid of my Leslie sim pedal by Strymon w/ the latest Atomic brain (the Luchador Lemon Sparkle) Using only the p-90 neck pkup (tvjones T-90)running into my 63' blonde.
the flashvid cam, myKodak Zi8's internal compressor likes to squish the signal even with an outboard mic. I mention that because I had the amp at a decent level but it wouldnt appear that way in the vid. I used a figure 8 pattern ribbon mic 45 degrees off axis hoping to grab the timing differences between the horn and rotor but it still recorded in a very one dimensional manor. Ruger9 asked me to record mono, soooo its still stereo BUT the pedal is running in mono mode with one amp
It has its own tube overdrive control but I found i like that set lightly and then push the hell out of it with the Atomic Brain. (which just made the cameras compressor clamp down super hard everytime I dug into the guitar...I'll suss that out next)

Awesome tone! If that one is as good as the Neo Ventilator I can do a switch and have more free space on my pedal board
