I presume you mean the episode that went out on Thursday 25th August 2011?? I've still got that episode on Sky Plus - which character do you think Lee is playing. I didn't see him but will happily look again.

| Sorry to take so long to reply (itravel A LOT!!) Had to look for my password and am replying from my phone. Lee is not in the episode but his music is ,I think. A crazy guy walks into a Hotel room with his handler and cranks the stereo up, and this is where I need your help, I'm pretty sure it's Lee. I couldn't find it in my collection though. | |

| They are also re-issuing the first Phantom, Rocker, and Slick album on CD in February. Shoot, if they're gonna release one, why not both?

| Totally agree with Rickabilly... pity they are not releasing both PR&S albums on CD... or maybe they are just waiting how successful the sales of this one are so as to go ahead with Cover Girl.

| I get why the first Phantom Rocker Slick album holds more appeal. It was the more popular of the 2 albums, and it features Keith Richards on "My Mistake" and the legendary Nicky Hopkins on piano on "No Regrets." The Stones are back in the spotlight with their "Some Girls" reissue and 50th Anniversary coming up, so Keef fans would love to pick up this disc for their collections, much in the same way Setzer completists track down obscurities by Bill Wyman, Arlen Roth, and Paul Rodgers to score singular Setzer contributions.
Still, they can't be looking for it to sell too terribly well. It's just a niche project for fans. Fans that would buy one, would definitely buy the other. Since CDs are supposedly on their way out soon, they ought to release both Phantom, Rocker, & Slick albums now in limited quantities before putting them up digitally. Maybe Lee didn't want the 2 releases to compete with Lee's new album. Perhaps there was a licensing issue with the fine cover of the Hollies "Long Cool Woman In a Black Dress," which closes Cover Girl. Whatever the case, I hope it comes out sometime next year.
At least we aren't getting that EMI-budget label album combo like they did with Knife/LNG, where they put both albums on one disc, but removed one track due to space constraints. Neither album was remastered at the time, so there was a HUGE sound drop off when "Red Lightning Blues" started the LNG portion of the disc.

Not at the same time! Don't get cheeky, now... Slim Jon's List of Setzer Guest Appearances (possibly compiled with the help of Scatman!) Unless one of these is one of those Bob Dylan/Fastball he-played-with-but-isn't-on-the-album deals! No Stone Unturned-a-billy

| Hey, I remember getting plenty of infos from Scatman. I think we can remove the collaboration with Bob Dylan since Brian is not on the credits... however, I still think that Brian recorded with Fastball, well, sure he recorded but part of his recording is included;
I must update that list by adding the ones with Jeff Beck and Glen Campbell. |

| Sorry "les garƧons" but I remember having really enjoyed a song called "Runnin' From The Hounds" (not absolutely sure of the title). Can you tell if the song is on the first album ? (The one that comes out soon, where Jim was wearing Nike ) | |

| Setzerado, yup, it's Running From The Hounds the one on the 1st PRS album; pity that Lee destroyed the song when he re-recorded it with his own band... |

| I don't mind Lee's latter rendition of "Running From the Hounds." I didn't initially remember the Phantom, Rocker, and Slick version, that's how different the two versions are. It reminds me of something you might have heard in the mid-60s, sort of like the Sir Douglas Quintet's "She's About a Mover." I like the "Raunchy" guitar lick from Brophy that appears throughout the song.
I still like the PRS verson better, but this one isn't bad at all, in my opinion, and fits well with the rest of the album "Racin' the Devil / Curse of the Rockabilly." Evidently, he didn't see the point in doing a cover unless you were going to reinvent it, as he also reworked "Rock This Town" on that album. I may be in the minority here, but I really enjoyed his driving version of "Rock This Town." It's got a pounding bass, it's in a minor key, and it is wild. I don't like it better than the Stray Cats' version, but I definitely prefer it over Lee's latest "CopyCats" version that's on the new website. "Put a quarter right into that can, but all they played was techno, man..." I love that bit!
While Lee's covers EP from last year didn't really do anything for me, his full-length albums are usually very good, and I am looking forward to the new one in February.

| Just got my (signed)copy of "Night Train To Memphis" and i really like it. One new original track and lots of covers of which i must admit Don Everlys "So Sad" is one of my favourites. Definately worth a listen | |
