even if you arent into recording and live mic'ing like I am, you still might enjoy this video regarding Royer ribbon mics and mohave mics for the BSO's live sound.

this guy was even FOH engineer on the Riot Tour. In Hamburg he was wearing a blue&Black Bowling shirt... I watched him while he prepared the desk for the show.
The left mic in front of the bassman is a mic like those AKG C414, right?

2 mics for the bassman is the message. Most sound guys just give you one.
Only one mic for Johnny´s Bass! Interesting, he`s mixing the 2 pick up sounds before.

learn about ribbon mics MJ.. its what separates the sterile nu-billy music from the vintage 'billy recordings. you WANT a cascade fathead II live mice on your bassman, unless of course you can afford the $1700 Royer Ribbon mic that sits on just one of the 2 speakers on setzers cab
