From FB:
Brian is recording a new album in Nashville this month, with Mark Winchester on bass, Daniel Glass on drums and Kevin McKendree on piano.
WOW!

Wow ! A kind of "dream team"... Nashville, M. Winchester, K. Mc Kendree... What a good feeling of real Rock-A-Billy roots record !!! It's just what we all need since a long time. Thanks for this good news. I hope the record will come before Christmas !

I'm suppose to alert the old folks on this site about where Brian's management posts the latest updates.

I was just listening to Guitar Slinger and had forgotten how much I like the piano with the Big Band! If only Kevin McKendree were less awesome and less in demand, it would be great to have him for the tour and for the small group set! On the first two BSO albums, the piano added kind of a Basie-era Big Band feel that I miss. In the evolution to the souped-up rockabilly big band of the Dirty Boogie, the piano disappeared, and I barely noticed. But listening to "Hoodoo Voodoo Doll," I loved hearing it again, and even longed for a piano solo somewhere in the middle.
But I digress... Can't wait for the new album!

Agreed! Though I doubt Kevin McKendree ever rocked the hair of the 1995 BSO keyboardist.
Here's a live version featuring a bespectacled Brian and what appears to be Bernie Dresel a few hours before his audition for a Winger tribute band! (Thankfully, he didn't get the gig.)

The haircut by Bernie at that time was a looker too.
