Gary Setzer guested on some tracks on this record- looks like you can listen to samples on the site.

Rockin' By Myself has been recorded in Japan by Brian & Gary while a short tour in summer 1993. The record is dedicated to their father Robert, died few weeks before in april 1993. It's a really moving record with some very rare tracks played live (Rebellene and, most of all, Broken Man...)

That is a fantastic CD. I remember having to track that down in GOLDMINE magazine at the time. That's the kind of tour from Brian I'd LOVE to see. Just him and his guitar, playing songs he never ever seems to get to play. As much as I loved the BSO Christmas show I saw in '06, Setzer live, rockin' by himself is one I absolutely could not miss.

I bought a deluxe edition of Rockin' years ago on Ebay from a guy in Japan. It's a real treasure. Has anybody heard anything else from Gary? Is he a working musician?

Now see, I didn't know he was a drummer. Is there a history there? Did he play with Brian in an early band? Enquiring minds want to know....

In the original lineup of The TomCats , Brian was on vocal;s and guitar, Bob Beecher was on bass and Gary played drums. Gary also had his own group called King Cadillac.

Gary plays guitar and sings on a few tracks on Rockin' By Myself.

Rockin' By Myself is to me, probably the best Setzer solo album. I wish he played more often like this.
In fact, in 2003 he was about to come to Spain to play at a Festival but it was finally called off, but, wouldn't have it been wonderful to have another Rockin' By Myself??
As for Gary... he mounted his own Orchestra too, as far as I know, and the "Bloodless Pharaos" release in 1996-97 by Collectable records, was to support Gary economically

No.
That's no, there wasn't another hour-length bio produced on Brian, not no, as in there was one and you can't have it.
No means no-billy
