Just wanted to share with this video taken from a british TV show: "the first one" as Brian uses to name it.
Top class (even it's playback)!!
Enjoy

All, yes this is Top of the Pops.
See the girl in the background, sitting down, in a black and white jumper - half black, half white, diagonal across the front ? -Well, she works in my office !!!!
She used to work at the BBC as a youngster - was at every show for a few years, has a photo album some 80`s fans would be dead jealous of - loads of pictures with famous popstars from the 80`s...
Was quite funny when i said one day "did you ever own a black and white jumper, which you wore to the show, and did you ever see the Stray Cats ?"......
needless to say, the video has been displayed at work..!!!

Funny story Dave, I remember when I was living in Coventry that a friend of mine participated on "Deal Or No Deal" - It was superb watching the show like 3 months later. We all met at the pub and he dressed the same clothes he was wearing at the show. Dammit that he didn't get as much as he would have, but 16.000 quid are fair enough too ;-)

We all know the original clip of RunawayBoys. It starts when they drive around town and later they cross the street to some club. Above the entrance is a sign saying something like "The Tram She..? Or Fram? Anybody know where it is filmed?

The name of the club is The Tram Shed. I wasn't able to find out the city or date.
Thanks to the Rockabilly Hall Of Fame Stray Cats page, here is what Brian said about the Runaway Boys video on the vhs release Stray Tracks:
"It's a funny thing - when we started, we did Runaway Boys there was only a handful of other bands who had made them. I can think of maybe three or four off the top of my head and we thought, why do they want us to make a video? We didn't know what it was, that was before the advent of MTV and all, and we thought oh, it'll be good for a laugh, and we can watch it back, we can see ourselves playing along with the song.
Actually they didn't have a plot or anything, and they just had a cameraman following us around for a couple of weeks, and he just took candid shots of whatever we were doing backstage and messing around. And when we had seen it we really liked it, that's one of my favourites 'cause there's no plan, there's no script or anything like there is nowadays - we just went out and did it. But that works sometimes, but not all the time. It happened to work on Runaway Boys."
