| That site is a nice convenience for us, and I'm sure the person running it does so in their spare time, without any compensation whatsoever. Most people out in the real world have a lot less time on their hands than some of us do, so I'm grateful for whatever contributions are on there, whenever they get on there. Sometimes, there are several shows a month posted, sometimes, months and months pass by without anything new.
I'm also guessing that sort of site would want to keep a much lower profile than say, YouTube, to avoid being shut down. Since it is traded freely, and not for profit, I don't think that's as big of a risk as trying to profit from this stuff on eBay. The eBay thing must really rankle Brian, as I've heard Brian say on more than one occasion, including to me, "Now I don't wanna see this on eBay..."

| I really like the site though i never downloaded a show from there... it's very nice of the runner to have that website but to be honest, having such a website is killing the traders/collectors!
In an interview in Japan back in 1993, Brian said that he is aware of bootlegs but he doesn't mind at all. Brian has enough money from his CD sells and concerts and he makes a good living. The bootleggers on the Ebay only try to get some profit to pay their bills or whatsoever, I think. No doubt I would do the likewise if were a wonderful graphic designer. You know, all these bootlegs coming from Japan are CDR and home made with a bad design and they are charging 50 bucks for them!!! With my collection I could do the same!!!! But, I prefer not to do it, I want them just for myself (and for a bunch of friends) - let's add some excitement to the collectors' viewpoint |

| ebay sucks never used it and isn't amazon the same thing too, I see a lot of 'homemade/bootleg' stuff there too but yes any Cats/Brian cd is good to listen to in the car, doing dishes to, while surfing the net..... | |

| OK, ebay sucks but I found some precious jewels on it. The boots exist, so why don't buy them (at a regular price)? What I can't stand is making money with all these new homemade cd-r or dvd-r; it's very simple: you buy a rare stuff at an expensive price (50, 100€ or more), then you make cd-r (with a beautiful and new artwork) and you put it on sale at 15 or 20€ each... on ebay of course. I really don't like this!

| I see your point Frenchy, and you're quite right too... but I'll never buy a home made CDR... for a little bit more, I prefer to get (if it does ever exist!) the silver CD. If there is not such a jewel around... a burnt CDR copy that should be alright. I can do the artworks myself... but well, anyone is obviously free to buy anything |

| Well... many recordings come from a trader of mine ;-) I really hate that, the CDR trading and so on has been blown up dude! |

| I think what Brian means when he says 'I don't want to see this one ebay' is that some people pose as fans on message boards and go to signings/shows just to get the autograph to sell!!! right?? I have never been much of an autograph seeker myself, have a few personal ones, but wouldn't sell them for a million dollars | |

| It would have been a great idea if Setzer released a live album from each tour together with some bonus.
When The Stray Cats released 15 CDs back in 2004, every single show of their tour (except Munich due to technical problems with the recording), I wondered: who on earth is going to purchase 15 fucking shows, nearly the same set list, together with the DVD & CD Rumble In Brixton???? Wouldn't have it been better if together with Rumble in Brixton, another CD containing 17-18 songs that were scarcely played during the tour, had been included???
If BSO/Nashvillians/Trio whatsoever, did this "my method", all these bootlegs wouldn't be circulating at all... Now, with the European Farewell Tour (thanks they did not tape a single show... at least no news about it) but, as I said before, it would have been great if they have taped one with some bonus tracks like Rockabilly Rules, Buit For Speed, Baby Blue Eyes... you know, songs that were scarcely played. That would be a great live recording. |

| As the sad obsessive that I am I bought the full set of live CD's from that tour -and the one for the gig I went to in Manchester didn't even include Sleepwalk which was one of the highlights of the gig. Even the reviewer in Manchester Evening News said was most stunning piece of guitar playing he'd ever witnessed! | |

| Stray Cat CNut, I was at that show too, front row. You can hear my voice, exactly prior to Bring It Back... it you listen carefully, right after Setzer saying "Mcr, will you buy me a beer?" , I screamed: "Brian, you're the best" (if you hear that, that's me!!, honestly)
Well, I don't like Sleepwalk that much, but I enjoyed I Won't Stand a lot, that's my fav tune and I am glad that I was in UK at that time... if I had been in Spain, I wouldn't have had the chance to listen to that song! However, this 2008 Tour was streets ahead from 2004. The sound, the energy, the songs.... I remember when Setzer started the riff to Lust N Love... awwwh man, superb! |

| Now these are the posts that I like to read............anyway, I can see Jon's point about releasing an official companion of live rarities, but there will always be those of us that just have to have every second of every unofficial recording that becomes available, regardless of the quality. Call us crazy............and keep 'em coming! | |
