Believe it or not, after that last photo, and we stopped the traffic on Flinders Street, the cops came and gave us the option of pouring our beers down the drain or get booked. You wouldn't believe it! My poor wife had a great laugh on us!

Kum & Go's have taken over all the 7-11's here. I saw a gas station/convenience store in the Fargo, ND Moorehead, MN area called load and loaf..or something like that...it was weird.

You can have open alcohol/beer containers in public down in Australia? Here they would have thrown the book at you.

Yep in that shot. We ordered 2 beers for us and 2 coffees for the girls, we took the beers as she placed them on the counter and went back for the coffees, the other staff member checked the order and put 2 more beers up! Did we take them?? Hell yeah!

Yes and no. There are designated dry zones. In South Australia you can drink alcohol and drive at the same time as long as you're not drunk and you're not distracted from the road in front of you. Good to have a Police Senior Sargaent as a friend!!
