Actually, it could be. In her previous band, the Dust Bunnies, Ms. Reiten was most definitely a brunette. Peroxide Blonde-a-billy

| We'll see if this tour comes to pass. I remember being kind of fired up about the prospects of a Christmas tour about this time last year.... | |

| I realize we're all a little "Once Bitten, Twice Shy" here in the US, but I don't see any way this latest tour falls through. Keep the faith, brother!

| You know what's funny? I have never seen a single Christmas show. Every BSO show I went to was before the Christmas CDs. I know I'm missing out! | |

| hey Andi, just one commet without any intention of harming your feelings: I personally think that the BSO Xmas shows must be a wonderful spectacle and despite the fact that you have not witnessed any of those shows, on the other hand, you have been terribly lucky by having had the chance of seeing the BSO at its peak. I honestly believe that the BSO time is over and by 1998-99 it was at its best and those times, unfortunatelly are never going to come back again. I reckon it's time for Brian to move into another direction and recover the 68 CBS, Trio or whatsoever and even that BS Combo you suggested but no more BSO for a while.
Another Stray Cats studio record? Another Trio or solo project?? All those ideas sound superb, but BSO should be left aside at least for a while or until new originals are done. It's been almost 10 years without any new BSO original song!!!!! |

| I agree to an extent with Juan. The BSO, as far as creativity is concerned, peaked long ago. Loads of Christmas stuff and Wolfgang's Big Night Out, to me, does not equal a band interested in new material. It's strictly "what can I sell the most of". The Christmas tours are also all about cash. Give me a summer tour without the Christmas cash grab thank you. Zero information from the Japan tour, where anyone who's seen the official Live In Japan DVD will testify, has real strong BSO support, does nothing to pull the BSO out of it's "Christmas only" status here in the states. I disagree with Juan that a new Stray Cats release is an answer. The Stray Cats peaked long before the BSO did. It reminds me of Detroit's so called "big 3" automakers re-hashing 1960's and 1970's models and selling it as "progress". I don't have an opinion of what Brian's next move should be. The members here will buy whatever he puts out but mass sales is what keeps ya going. Something fresh and creative that appeals to the masses, that's a tough one. And Rickabilly, your avatar shamelessly promotes one great television show. Nice shorts. | |

I agree with you 100% (will wonders never cease?!) I hope nobody thinks I'm complaining about missing the BSO Christmas show! I am exceedingly happy and thankful for the shows I've seen and the experiences I've had, and I know I'm one of the luckiest people on the planet because of them. If I were to die tomorrow, I'd die happy. HOWEVER.... as long as the man is making music, Christmas or otherwise, I am going to want to be there to witness it.

| The previous points are all well taken, but I'll just say this: The BSO Christmas tour has entered into the realm of tradition here in the US. There are far worse fates to befall an artist than to be associated with the most wonderful time of the year! And to provide family-friendly live entertainment that allows (totally cool) parents to introduce their (hopefully future-cool) kids to the heppest cat that ever slung a Gretsch over his shoulder...well, that's not a bad legacy! And don't fault him for wanting to make some money, for crying out loud! A fella's gotta eat! (Caveat: I know that ticket prices at the Oneida Casino, my closest regular venue for the BSO Christmas show, are way lower than they are at some of the other venues around the country. Please don't flame me too badly, because I do recognize how blessed I am in that regard, and I do feel your pain!)
Cut the guy some slack. He'll make new music when he's ready. He's a musician - that's what he does!

| I would actually like to think that us as fans would appreciate whatever Brian does. At the end of the day Brian has to do what he likes and do things that challenge him as a performer, artist and writer. It can't be about the time for this or that has passed. I personally love the BSO, I'd give my left you know what to see them play, be it a Christmas show or a general tour. I'm usually pretty hard to annoy, but this definitely has set me off. I know it's only people putting their views across and I totally respect that, but every know and then I get the feeling we (including me) probably forget what this is all about. We have been given an incredible gift. Let's see it as it is. Sorry all. René-a-pony PS Bear85, I'm 100% with you brother!! | |

Brian himself has proven that multiple times - he does things when they aren't cool and makes them cool! As for the people bitching about the Christmas tour, keep in mind that those of us on this forum are a very small number of the whole of Setzer's fans. The popularity of the Christmas tours and the strong sales of the Christmas CDs proves that the demand is still quite strong for them. Why the hell would anyone quit doing something when people are still clamouring for it?

| I strongly agree with Andi in her last comment. Brian is talented to make things cooler, that's for sure.
I'm with you Pony in the fact that we should enjoy what Setzer is doing but, on the other hand I think that an artist should know where some things are over.
BTW, BSO Rocks: lol that you wrote "Juan", which would be the translation of my name into Spanish; however, my name is not English but Basque (that's why it goes with no H in it), so, unfortunatelly there's no translation and I'm still Jon, though I don't mind someone calling me Juan at some point, but Jon (at least in Spain) is something quite unique. I'm very pleased by having that name! |
