- Hmm,
I totally agree with Spanish David. Another kind of "Rockin' By Myself" album/tour would be awesome. Probably in a few years time, when Setzer is a bit a older, he might be touring smaller venues with his guitars... JP if I could afford to fly you out to Gibson amph. on Dec 18th, put a margarita in your hand (shaken not stirred) and walk you into that theater right when the BSO hits the stage your jaw would drop. The power from the upright, the horn section and the drums just hits you in the chest and your bone marrow starts to hum. This place is heaven to hear Setzer at his finest. There's a pit if you need to stand like a damn sardine in a can, but the seats are real close and man.... I cant say enough.. I've been a fan since 79'-80 (its foggy) and have listened to this guy singing and playing ever since then.. I will admit I dig old Jazz, lounge and exotica.. but I really HATE brass orchestra and most big band anything other than strings ( I love stringed classical music and piano) it just doesnt do much for me except for the occasional sultry saxophone ala stan getz or solo stuff like Coltrane, Miles,etc... BUT.. BUT the combination of Brian Setzer's voice, guitar and arrrangement of the exact instruments in his orchestra is a damn freight train of Vegas and Rockabilly... It has to be experienced live. You owe it to yourself! | |

| I definetely agree with you Tavo! As I said in quite a few occassions, the BSO is not my fav Setzer band but it's something unique that must be seen, and I'd love too. Unfortunatelly, Setzer seems reluctant to bring the BSO to Europe... dammit!!
In the meantime, any kind of thing coming from him is superb.
BTW, I've burnt a BSO CD for my fiancee, and these are the tunes I've included: let me know what you think:
1- hawaii 5-0 (live) 2- this cat's on a hot tin roof 3- good rockin' daddy 4- let's live it up 5- since i don't have you 6- luck be a lady 7- crazy little thing called love 8- switchblade 9- sleepwalk 10- pa 6-5000 11- one more night with you 12- lady luck 13- the man with the magic touch 14- footloose dool (live) 15- a nightingale sang in berkeley square 16- my baby only cares for me 17- ball and chain 18- rumble in Brighton 19- rocky mountain shakedown 20- mack the knife 21- brand new cadillac 22- the house is rockin' 23- take a break guys
I think it's kinda cool, with a couple of live tracks, nice and rare tunes (some of them), correct right order...
Hope she's enjoying it (and you too, folks!) |

| Quite simply stunning video. Thanks Kelly. Every note is magic. He looks great too. And his singing is just right for this kind of song. People will argue is he trying to be Frank Sinatra.... no he's trying to be Brian Setzer. | |

| I actually thought about Buzz Buzz, Town Without and Gloria. I have not included the last two as I already included Since I Don't Have You, and about Buzz Buzz... maybe because there was no space left on the disc, but that song is probably one of my fav BSO tunes together with The Man With The Magic Touch, Ball & Chain and Rocky Mountain Shakedown
Thanks for the suggested songs anyway, Tavo! |

| Thank ye for posting that. I had been looking for a video of that song for a long time, and didn't believe any existed.
