Thanks Steb!
LMAO, the bassist is faking he likes the song (hehe, just kidding!) I remember having seeing this clip (it's somewhere in my old VHS tapes...) and the drummer, Steve Jordan (the one who taped Bobby's Back on The Knife Feels...); this drummer used to play for Chuck Berry, Keith Richards...
Now Steb, try to find Rebelene (not the clip), the live performance at David Letterman in 1988; very nice one!

When a solo artist does perform on a TV show and the show has its own band, it's quite usual for the band to back up the artist. I think it's due to technical and sound reasons. It's easier to do, I think.
With that Rebelene clip I'm talking about, it was the same but it was good too, specially because the band had a piano, and that suited Rebelene nicely!

Rebelene is a fantastic song. There is piano too on the official version in Live Nude Guitars. I really like the intro and the final. Great touched and pure sound...

Steve, Brian played that telecaster for the whole The Knife Feels Like Justice tour. Kind of interesting, and to be honest, you can still recognize it's him!!
Ha, I was suprised too that you didn't post it Kelly as I noticed a comment on the youtube page which I thought must be from you. I figured I'd do it and take the blame away from your direction

Yes i know. But it's a gretsch on the back of the cd booklet, and i'm sure that's what he played on TKFLJ album. Could all be Tommy Burns guitar on there though

Hello ChooChoo, man i must listen to this album again sometime.....my Larry site has taken over my life for nearly a year now - and to be quite honest i've only had a little time for my other heroes Setzer and Elvis....i know, i know.....can this really be the RadiationSteve who posted 2000 threads on here in 2003 etc..... Well, i'm back. I've just had a week off at home and it's been Setzer, Dave Edmunds, Love Sculpture, Elvis, Eddie, Chuck Berry etc.....most of the time. But you can't expect me to go to bed each day without hearing 'why should the devil' or 'rock that doesn't roll'! Anyway, back to topic lol - I've always stuck up for Brian's knife era (as you know), although i took the name 'Radiation' from the 'Radiation Ranch' song, this isn't my favourite Setzer period. That would be 1980/81 with of course Stray Cats! But i would say that songs like Radiation Ranch and Haunted River have their merrit. I think it was an important time for Brian to adjust, and show he was capable of going it alone.....glad he returned to the Cats though....or we'd have missed out on 'Blast Off'! Not to mention the Euro 2004 Tour!
I doubt very much Setzer used his Gretsch... the pic of the back cover might just be for the album photo sessions but the sound is not very "gretsch", at least for me. If we compare The Knife with Live Nude, there is a clear difference between guitar sounds

i think in TKFLJ he played most of the songs with a telecaster. Even some Stray Cats tunes sounded more like Tele. I don`t talk about the first 3 records. But listen to Rock Therapy. IMHO Live Nude guitars it changed back to Gretsch...(Rebelline, rebelline)
Tavo: what you`re thinking? Is it Bull.... what i`m talking?
But at the end he could play this new cheap Danelectro guitars with 15W Fender Bullet-amp and sound better than i ever will with my gear...
