Wanda Jackson

Not sure if there was any mention of this before but last night I caught a 1.5 half hour special on Wanda Jackson. It was very interesting and so fun to watch. They even had Slim Jim on there offering up some commentary. So cool. I found it on the Smithsonian Channel and I realize that may not be the most common of channels but if anyone does get it I highly recommend watching. Hopefully it will be on again. I posted a link below to the website and at the bottom of the page are video segments.

I don't know if you all have the RFD channel on your cable or satellite, but I'm pretty sure Wanda is the guest on the Marty Stuart Show tonight (Saturday, 4/11). Check your listings!

If you get the Fuse channel, they are rebroadcasting the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Fame Inductions several times this week. Watch Wanda Jackson, DJ Fontana, and Bill Black get inducted. Wanda performed two songs, including "Let's Have a Party."

Sunday, April 12 at 7 p.m. EST; Wednesday, April 15 at 12 a.m. EST; Friday, April 17 at 5 p.m. EST

Watch for Wanda in the second hour, possibly toward the end of the first hour, as she gets in after Bobby Womack and Little Anthony and the Imperials.
