I need some advice about this gretsch.

I have the chance of buying this little beauty.
I can get it for £375 plus about £30 for petrol.
Im still an intermediate player but im a huge setzer fan, not only that im in love with gretsch guitars. So what do you think? is it a bargain? or is it too much.
it also comes with a gretsch hardcase and apparently comes with DeArmond's pickup's.

The closest Setzer sound you'll get with this one is probably of the songs he played with his Silverjet, eg Drive like Lightnin'...
You could of course always change out the Pickups for TV Jones D-Armond mounts...
Otherwise it's a good geetar, especially for that low price.

I like those Electromatics with those pickups in them. In my opinion, having owned one of the silver sparkle models, those pickups are friggin' awesome. No, they're not dynasonics or T'Armonds, but they're mighty fine.

And with what Guitarmaniac said, yeah, Ghost Radio, Drive Like Lightning, the solo from Sexy and 17. Although i can get a pretty rockin' Ignition sounding tone on my dyna Jet (no Nocturne, unfortunately. )

your gonna save about £250-300 on the price of a new one. And will get you well into the tone that you are looking for, although you may wanna get a local luthier to pin that bridge once you get it, but that shouldnt cost a lot
