This is rather unexpected. Brian actually won the Best Pop Instrumental Performance Grammy for Sleepwalk in 1999. Granted, that was a studio version, recorded for the Dirty Boogie album. Still, congrats, Brian.
I see Surfdog has relied on the interweb for it's Grammy count. I thought it was at 10 last year as well, but I had relied on an erroneous source which counted Stray Cats' Best New Artist nomination (which was actually for the American Music Awards). Then I got served, yo:

- Stray Cats were never nominated for a Grammy Award. They were up for an American Music Award in 1983 for "Best New Artist" but did not win. If memory serves, Men At Work won. You may remember that it was Men At Work's album, "Business As Usual" that kept "Built For Speed" out of the #1 spot on the Billboard Album charts prior to the release of "Thriller" which messed things up for months after.
Just the facts m'am,
Tommy
