| "Frampton Comes Alive" is better than any Frampo "Best of" in my opinion. -T | |

| I'd agree with that one re Frampton -and for me I'd say Down By The Jetty, Malpractice or Stupidity are better than any Dr Feelgood best of - but then a lot of live albums are a kind of best of anyway.
Re bands that I'm listening to at moment though -Mott The Hoople 'best of', with that great run of singles alone is impossible to top. Have also been listening to best of Bad Co, Zakk Wylde, Yngwie, Jason and Scorchers, Slade, T Rex, The Sweet, recently where none of their studio albums come close.
I think for the hardcore fan of a band the answer isn't hard to reach although examples cited last night - ie beatles/stones/led zep would be hard to disagree.................cue mucho disagreement!

| I bet there is no single Dion album better than the greatest hits one!
This theory is better applied to 'singles' bands anyway I think!

| Just got Wolfgang Parker, Room Nineteen delivered, so suffice to say it's in the car and on my media player at work. It's absolutely sensational.
Thanks again Webby for the heads up.

| Vidar Busk & His True Believers - 1999 - Atomic Swing album. Here's the first song Sho' Nuff in tube. Sometimes I put the tube playing background VB doing a cover for great late Little Willie John song You Hurt Meor perhaps the song Mr. SugarBad sound I know but great perfomances. | |
