Chris, for gypsy swing-jazz, you might enjoy a band out of Sydney called Arabesk.

Unfortunately their myspace page isn't very good, but their violin player, Veren Grigorov, has some videos on his page - and he is an absolute joy to watch perform. Really made me pay more attention to violin as a jazz instrument!
