Cool! Chris Cheney is one of my all-time favourite guitarists, and one the few guys who can keep up with Setzer.
AC/DC just played Oslo, and even though I would've loved to see them (the tickets were sold out in no time), I will see my favourite Aussies the Living End in Oslo on the 28th of June. I've been a fan of these guys for years, and I never dreamed they'd make it to this outback. The sad thing is, not too many people here know who they are. It's gonna be cool to see them in a small club, though. Can't wait....

Anders, Living End puts on a great show, you'll have a fantastic time. Watching Chris Cheney play slide with a full bottle of beer is very entertaining!
At the last Cats show in Melbourne in Febrary, I think Le Setz paid a little homage to Chris, though his was done much less messily.

I am impressed, really. I thought The Living End were just a souped up version of Midnight Oil. Enjoyable but nothing too special.. I have been enlightened.. plus that Wizard amp and vintage marshall cab sounds good! A blonde isnt too far away from an old plexi.

Midnight Oil are an old hypocritical, political band wagon jumping boring band, whilst The Living End are an exciting young band

...except I think that's Hootenanny 2006, and that was shot at the exact same time as I took my photo, above.
Now watching the whole thing again, I'm certain of it.

Welcome, timebombmartyn! Just to clarify, I didn't upload the video, just found it on YouTube. I did go to 3 Australian shows, but Chris Cheney didn't play at any of them!! I'd have loved to have witnessed that too. Ah well, I'm sure it won't be the last time!
