| A new puppy that is gonna come join my family? Jenny and I will be having a puppy hand delivered to come live with us and Snoopy this friday! We have only one MAJOR thing left to do to get ready. PICK A NAME!!! Here is a picture of our little boy, he is a chihuahua/yorkie mix. Any ideas? We have about 80 to choose from right now, but, want to have plenty more to sift through when we get to meet him and pick the right name for him. The more comical, the better. Thanks! -BK | |

| New name: "Woodstock".
If Snoopy is still with you guys, I'm thinking that you got the barking issues taken care of. Good for you guys.
Have fun with your growing "family"!
Take care, hrg | |

| Groucho?
HRG-it's funny you should mention "Woodstock" with the upcoming movie release. My kids have been asking me if I was there! Evil, short, little humans they are!!! Then they ask if grandma & grandpa were there! I laughed until I almost peed my pants!! Mr. & Mrs. Right-wing Conservatives? No....they weren't there.
Names..... Charlie? Oscar? Rex? (from an old boyfriend's dog) Scott? (an old boyfriend) Rambo? Steve? Budgie? Pete? Pawsy? Curly? Luther? Darth? Luke? Pig? Spot? Spawn? Hank? Maximillanthanxamillian? Splorg? Blarnek?
Sorry...that's all I can come up with on short notice. I'll think on it. ~nj | |

| He kinda reminds me of the dog belonging to the little boy in the movie, "Airplane II." I believe his name was "Scraps." He belonged to a little boy who brought him up to see the cockpit. The ever-creepy Captain Oveur does his level best to strike up to find common ground with the kid.
Captain Oveur: "Do you like it when Scraps holds on to your leg and rubs up and down?"
Woodstock seems like an obvious choice, although it could be a bit of a downer should something happen to Snoopy.
I always enjoy a little irony in pet names. For example, naming a St Bernard "Tiny." This little guy could do well with an imposing moniker like Maximus, D-Day, Crusher, Cujo, or Killer. (He sorta looks like a young Jerry Lee Lewis.)
Maybe it's the fuzzy exterior, but he look a bit haggard (in an adorable way.) Harkening back to my 80s movie days (knowing you once had a dog named Ferris) I would opt for a mellow, seasoned name like "Carl" - thinking of Carl, the groundskeeper from "Caddyshack." Although it could be Carl Perkins. I always liked the name Carl - I dunno why - it seems like it would suit someone mellow and easy-going, without a care in the world. Of course, he might end up being a hyper little fella. You may have to observe the dog's personality for a day or two before deciding.
Congrats on the new addition!

| I thank all of ya already!
I think we have it narrowed down to our top 25 or so.
As soon as we get home with him I will have plenty of pictures, then, I assume only a few hours will be needed to give him a name!!!
We are so excited to give Snoopy a little brother!!!

| I also am a fan of Steve Martin's movie The Jerk....
unfortunately, I need to remove the names Ted and Teddy from the list due to the recent news from cnn.com. We don't want to be labeled as one of those "too soon" kinda things.
Is it friday night yet?

| I want mine in cherry red! My personal favorite on the list is Pig. (from the movie "Babe"--"That'll do Pig....that'll do.") How much fun could you have, especially in your condo association, with the little guy running around on a leash being chased by *parents* hollering, "No Pig! Stay out of the yard!" "PIG!!! Don't dig in other people's yards!" Or just the almighty dog command; "NO! PIG!!" The at home conversations, "Did you pick up the Pig poo from the yard? " "No honey, I picked up Pig poo last night, it's your turn tonight!" | |

| Well, Mrs.Kool327 actually had an interview today, which was at the request of the principal, so, maybe we might be able to afford the Hot Rod prize...
On the other hand, no. hahaha
In relation to the names...
One of our names we are considering is "Brooks".
For you Shawshank Redemption fans, you know where I am going with this.
Every time he will poo or pee in the house... "Brooks was here"
Another I love, and am considering, is Lawrence, after Lawrence Welk. Then, I can take him outside for "A one and a two"
48 hours and he is all ours!!! We still need to figure out where he will sleep, Snoopy is laying between us right now, and, he is LONG!! I don't know if there is much room up here!

| If it's those two names to choose from, make it Brooks. One-syllable names are supposed to be easier for them to learn (well, I heard that once, anyway) | |

| And I present to you, along with Brian and Jenny by his side.... Rocky Macho King He is such a good little boy! He whines when he wants us to take him outside to do his business, and we have only had 1 accident in the house so far. Now the big challenge, getting Rocky and Snoopy to get along.... This is gonna be a long week. -BK | |
