Dude, I've been drooling over this one for a week now.

...it should be here by the weekend.

I said I couldn't spend that kind of cash for a pedal I would only use 20% of (tape & digital is all I'll ever use), and I've also said in other threads that anything over $300 is IMHO ridiculous to pay for a PEDAL. However, this new SD simply has the best tape sim I have ever heard. Someday I want a TTE, but I also like the size, no maintenance, and versatility (new tape, old tape, etc) of the SD. So I bit the bullet. I've gotta' now sell something to recoup the cost. I can't believe I just pad $450 for a delay... I must be f'ing crazy.

You MUST go watch the 2 demos PGS has on youtube, as well as a 3rd demo by someone making a direct compariosn of the old version & new version tape modes. Unbelieveable. This is the best tape "sim" I have heard yet BY FAR.

heh heh. yeah, we're making the rounds in search of the ever-wonderful Setzer-liscious tape delay tone. Alot of people on TGP dropped coin on one, but not many from other forums. Sometimes I think were truly are OCD with this stuff...

And if the "Eternal Setzer Tone Search" is wrong, I don't wanna' be right!

I see we have all been watching those proguitarshop videos

I was very glad when the first run sold out so quickly - I got an e-mail from them yesterday saying its back in stock and I am hoping that this run also sells out very quickly - I really dont need a delay that is that big, has all those features I will never use and costs so much - in addition I am told that Empress are currently working on an analog delay and of course there is the Wampler Faux Tape Echo which should also be out soon - but still that Vintage Modifed Superdelay does sound something else!!!

Truth be told, I LOVE my AD-999, and if it had modulation, I wouldn't be gassing for any delays. But the VMSD is too cool to NOT check out...

for some reason I'm not surprised and I dont think we'll
be surprised at the results either. After all PGS makes demo videos
using a Royer Tube Mic and a Universal Audio solo 610 tube preamp.
They are serious in everything vintage hifi cool.

Info on the VMSD:

The VM Superdelay draws about 300mA. This will work with the Pedal Power 2 Plus on outputs 5 and 6 with the dipswitch away from normal. You will also need to use the reverse polarity cable as the superdelay requires positive tip power.


Not sure what PS you have, but thought you could use the info in case you didn't have what you need to power the thing.

that looks pretty sweet.

Compared to the other high-priced boutique delays (echoczar, MP Deep Blue, Memory Lane, etc), it seems like a more of a "valued" price with all of those features.

I will stick to the big green computer box for now, because I have amp fever.

sold it. Really beautiful but someday I hope they make just the tape echo section, thats
very cool.
Got my sights presently crosseyed on the much more affordable
Wampler Faux tape echo.. plus its just a dude and his wife making
these effects. makes my American free enterprise heart wave
a lot. ..and he knows Brad Paisley and James Burton. impresses
the heck out me(I got to meet James Burton 2 times and the second
time we met he remembered me).
