Delay pedal question.

Hi,everyone.
I have some question about Brian's sound delay pedal.

I know,he is usually using RE-301.Of course,I have it.
But,I am usually using Fulltone Tube Tape Echo.
The noise of RE is more than that of TTE. Therefore I like TTE.

Q1. Which does everyone use?　What's reason?

Q2. When TTE is used,is tube exchanged?
