Our little rockabilly will be six months old on December 18. I am home with him, but he was asleep during the 9:00 hour. I actually listen to Playhouse Disney for me. With the exception of Taylor Swift and the few bones that they toss to adults from time to time, I don't enjoy Radio Disney's programming for the other 23 hours of the day. Playhouse Disney used to be two hours long, and also featured "Circle Time Story" at the top of the second hour. That all ended a year or two ago. They also used to have a very funny team of DJ's in the afternoon named Just Plain Mark and Zippy. Their best on the air game was called "Matchamania", which was similar to the Newlywed Game, except that it was played by parents and chilldren. At least one question in each game was usually designed to embarass the parent on the air, such as "How many inchworms would fit around your mother's waist?", or "When was the last time your mother had her roots done?". They also had a game called "Battle of the Cities", which was similar to the College Bowl trivia game. Callers from two different cities would be asked the same trivia question, and each had been assigned a vocal sound effect (such as "ding, ding, ding" or "buzzz") in order to chime in first with the answer.
