Added to the Gibson Shows: The Ventures and Royal Crown Revue

The L.A. Weekly hit the streets yesterday with a small
ad announcing the addition of The Ventures and Royal Crown Revue
for the Gibson Amphitheatre shows.....!

Wow. All I can say is wow. Enjoy the show guys, you're all in for a real treat! Surf guitars and the RCR. Excellent. Let us all know how the show goes!

Anyone know who is now playing bass for the Ventures?

I've seen them at least three times, all in the 1980's.

Once at Caesar's Tahoe with Jan and Dean.

Once at the Oasis Ballroom (where Tesla, then called City Kidd, was the house band) in Sacramento.

Once at the Keystone Palo Alto.

A late but much deserved induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

I'm beggin' ya. Somebody please smuggle in a video camera and get "King of the Whole Damn World" on video (there's no way they won't do it). And anything else from these gigs ya'll care to share. You know these are gonna be ones for the ages. Have a natural ball, people, you know I would if I could!!!
